Where: Westside RC flyers (WSRC) club field in Yukon, OK

Directions: From I-40 in OKC take Czeck Hall/Cornwell exit and go North on Cornwell. After crossing Route 66 Cornwell turns into Hwy 4. Travel 1 mile North to Wagner Rd. and turn West to field entrance.

Hello Warbird enthusiasts,

My name is Steve Keesey and I want to invite you to Warbirds Over Oklahoma City 2009. This will be the fifth year for this event and again it is building to be a successful event. Already I am receiving questions about Warbirds 2009 so I decided to make contact with you in advance and invite you to OKC’s largest RC Warbird gathering.

WSRC has a 700-foot grass runway, there are no obstructions surrounding the field and we have plenty of room for parking. If you are like me and your aircraft are not ready for this event then lets get them ready. Maybe your favorite warbird is still in the box, on the workbench or still on the shelf at your local hobby shop. Whatever your situation we all have time to prepare for invasion day 2009. Remember if you fall short come out anyhow and enjoy the fun and visit with those that share your interest in RC warbirds.

To view WARBIRDS Over OKC photos from past events please visit WSRC’s web site at www.westside-rc.org and click the Gallery Tab and look for warbirds. If you have photos of your warbird you plan to bring, regardless what stage of readiness they are in please e-mail them to me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Be sure to attach a brief summary of who you are, where you will be coming from and the basic information on the aircraft.
