Hey Roger. I got a report from Bergen that Dave's plane was found in a tree east of Hwy 16 down in that first hollow as you're headed towards Fayetteville. The owner saw the plane in one of his trees and evidently knew to call Max about it. Max put Dave in touch with him. I haven't talked with Dave since I got that email from Bergen, but hopefully Dave's got his plane back and was able to salvage most of the electronics.

Nice job on the repair, Roger! Nice video, too :)

The past few times I've flown, the dandelions have been awful! When they're poofed out, they get seed pods all over my plane, and even when they aren't, I wind up with the stems wrapped around my landing gear. One good thing, though, is that you can land REALLY hot and get slowed down in a hurry :)

sorry to hear about your plane Dave, that really stinks! are you oganizing a search party? do you have a good bead on where it went down? let me know if I can help. (your batt will be dead but you may still recover the plane.) Roger.

Hey Bob, I only brought the two planes today... I only had 1 hr to fly. I was a beautiful day, it was the first day in months with no significant wind!! The P-38 flew great in calm skies, and my squirrly Fokker D VII accually did realy well too. My take offs have greatly improved with a toe-in adjustment to my landing gear, it is a fun plane to fly. I can hardly wait for more sunlight and after dinner flying. see ya soon. Roger.

P-38... I love those! Was this a scratch-and-dent purchase, or did the gorillas at UPS damage it?

Planning on going out today (Saturday)? It's not quite as windy :)

Its an E-flight P-38, its an EP foam ARF, 45" span w two hacker a20-20Ls (150 Watts each). It came w both fuse booms broken, so Im epoxying and setting it up. cant wait to get it flying.
see you guys at the field soon (I went out today about 4:00...no one was there, just 20-25 mph winds...I wonder why I was alone... had two fun flights and no damage :).) roger
